If your child is in Primary 6 this year, 2026 is a packed calendar. Between DSA applications, open houses, PSLE oral, listening comprehension, and written papers — there is a lot to track and very little room for last-minute scrambling.
This post gives you the complete timeline for both DSA-Sec and PSLE 2026, followed by all upcoming secondary school open house dates so you can plan your visits now.
🗓️ The Full 2026 DSA & PSLE Timeline
📌 APRIL — Open Houses Begin
April – May: DSA Open House Season Most secondary schools hold their open houses between April and May. These are essential for DSA applicants — attending allows your child to tour the school, meet teachers and coaches, learn about talent programmes, and get a feel for whether it is the right fit.
By 27 April: PSLE Registration School candidates must complete their PSLE registration by 27 April. Check with your child's school to confirm this has been done.
📌 MAY — DSA Applications Open
6 May – 2 June: DSA-Sec Application Window This is the most critical window of the year for DSA families. Applications are submitted through the centralised DSA-Sec Portal at https://www.moe.gov.sg/secondary/dsa using Singpass. Your child can apply to up to 3 schools and indicate up to 3 talent areas in total.
⚠️ Do not wait until 6 May to start preparing. Portfolios, supporting documents, and write-ups should be ready before the portal opens.
Term 2: 23 Mar – 29 May
📌 JUNE — Selection Process Begins
June Holiday: 30 May – 28 Jun Schools begin their internal review of applications after the portal closes on 2 June.
📌 JULY – AUGUST — DSA Selection Activities
Late June – 28 August: Shortlisting, Interviews & Trials Schools notify shortlisted applicants and conduct selection activities — this includes interviews, auditions, trials, written tests, and group discussions. Different schools may schedule activities on the same weekends, so plan ahead.
By 28 August: DSA Selection Outcomes All schools must notify applicants of their DSA selection outcome by 28 August. If your child receives an offer and accepts it, the posting is binding — they cannot switch even if their PSLE score qualifies them for a higher cut-off school.
12 – 13 August: PSLE Oral Examination
Term 3: 29 Jun – 4 Sep
📌 SEPTEMBER — PSLE Written Examinations Begin
15 September: PSLE Listening Comprehension
24 – 30 September: PSLE Written Papers This is the main PSLE examination window. Ensure your child is focused and well-prepared heading into this period.
📌 OCTOBER — DSA School Choices
19 – 23 October: Submit 3 DSA School Choices Students who have received DSA offers must submit their school choices during this window. This is separate from the PSLE posting exercise.
Term 4: 14 Sep – 20 Nov
📌 NOVEMBER — Results & Allocation
24 – 25 November: PSLE Results Released + S1 Choices Open PSLE results are released and the Secondary 1 (S1) posting exercise opens simultaneously. Students who accepted a DSA offer will have their allocation confirmed alongside PSLE results.
24 – 25 November: DSA Allocation Confirmed DSA students will receive confirmation of their secondary school placement together with PSLE results.
📌 DECEMBER — S1 Posting
Mid-December (TBC): S1 Posting Results Secondary 1 posting results for PSLE candidates are released in mid-December.
EOY: 21 Nov – 31 Dec
